Filming for the movie adaptation of Bryan Stevenson’s best-selling book, Just Mercy, is already underway. Jamie Foxx was spotted on the set in Douglasville and Atlanta, Georgia last month.
The movie will follow Bryan Stevenson’s defense of Walter McMillian, who sat on death row for six years, convicted on the false testimony.
The film will feature Michael B. Jordan as Stevenson, Jamie Foxx as Walter McMillian, and Brie Larson as the local advocate, Eva Ansley.
Just Mercy is expected to open on January 17, 2020.
