Rio continued to dominate the worldwide box office, adding an estimated $26.8 million domestically and $44.2 million overseas this Easter weekend. The animated comedy, featuring the voices of Anne Hathaway, Jesse Eisenberg, George Lopez, Tracy Morgan, Jemaine Clement, Leslie Mann, will.i.am and Jamie Foxx, has reached $81.3 million in North America after two weeks in theaters and $204.7 million internationally for a worldwide total of $286 million. The film, which carried a production budget of $90 million, has surpassed Rango’s $240 million global take to become the No. 1 movie of the year so far.

Jamie Foxx did an interview with FOX’s Amy Kaufeldt and he told her what it was like to lend his voice to the animated film.

Will.i.am, Jamie Foxx, Anne Hathaway – Hot Wings (I Wanna Party)

Jamie Foxx and will.i.am debuted their new song “Hot Wings (I Wanna Party)” with a live performance on Thursday’s American Idol. The song is featured on the Rio soundtrack, the new animated feature starring both Foxx and Will.I.Am. The Grammy-winning pair was joined by a full drum corps and dancers dressed for carnival.

Will.i.am was in Rio de Janeiro for his new film, yep you guessed it, ‘Rio’ and ET tagged along as he hung out with his famous friends and co-stars Jamie Foxx and Anne Hathaway!

Enjoying fresh coconuts and an ocean view, Will.i.am and Jamie chatted up about the gorgeous city and lovely locals while Anne dished to Will.i.am about her new role as Catwoman for the next ‘Batman’ movie.

The stars were there promoting the new film about a domesticated macaw from Minnesota that takes off on a crazy adventure to Rio de Janeiro and also stars Jesse Eisenberg, Jane Lynch, George Lopez, Wanda Sykes and Leslie Mann.

Will.i.am and Jamie Foxx will debut their new track from the upcoming animated film Rio on American Idol.

“Hot Wings (I Wanna Party)” is a duet between will.i.am and Jamie Foxx in the film that opens Apr. 15. The song is not being released as a single, but will.i.am believes the song will become “a viral baton that is, in a sense, a single.”

“Nowadays, anything can get cut up and become a viral single,” will.i.am told Billboard.com during a phone interview from Rio de Janeiro, where the movie’s premiere is tonight. “I’m glad to be performing on ‘Idol.’ That will be a single, and the scene in the film acts as a music video.”

Foxx said he has spoken with will.i.am and Swizz Beatz about contributing to his R&B/Hip-hop-themed animated feature, “Welcome to the Jungle.” The film, announced a year ago, is still in the script stage, he says.
