Jamie’s memoir, Act Like You Got Some Sense, has been nominated for the Best Audio Book, Narration and Storytelling Recording at the 65th Grammy Awards.
The book is an ode to his two daughters and his late grandmother, in which Foxx shares what he has learned from the women in his life: from making it in Hollywood to the pitfalls and joys of parenting in the digital age.
Jamie celebrated his nomination on his Instagram, writing:
Truly humbled and thankful for this Grammy nomination. It means a lot!! Thank you to my beautiful daughters, for allowing me to share a bit of our story with the world… Hopefully it inspires!!!
Other nominees in the category include Viola Davis, Mel Brooks, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Questlove.
The 65th annual Grammy Awards show will air live on CBS on Sunday, February 5.
