‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Trailer

The second trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home features the first look at Electro in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Jamie Foxx sported a new design previously unseen in The Amazing Spider-Man 2

In 2014’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Jamie Foxx played Max Dillon, an Oscorp electrical engineer and Spider-Man fan who was transformed into a human electrical battery after a work-related accident. In the film, Electro used blue jolts of electricity against Garfield’s Spider-Man and his enemies.

The new version of Electro in Spider-Man: No Way Home ditches his old blue look for a more comic-accurate one. His lightning went back to the original yellow from the Marvel comics.

As revealed in the first trailer, No Way Home picks up right where Far From Home left off: with Peter Parker’s secret identity as Spider-Man revealed to the world. Parker asks Dr. Stephen Strange to help restore his secret identity with magic, but this breaks open the multiverse and supervillains from alternate realities arrive to hunt Peter down.

Featuring Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jamie Foxx and Benedict Cumberbatch, Spider-Man: No Way Home opens in theaters on December 17th.
