‘Soul’ available on Disney+

Disney and Pixar’s animated film Soul is now available to stream and watch on Disney+.

Soul was first intended to have a theatrical release. It was first scheduled to release on June 19th before being pushed to November 20th. Due to COVID-19 complications, Disney ultimately settled on placing the film on Disney+.

The film follows middle school teacher Joe Gardner (voiced by Jamie Foxx), who dreams of being a professional jazz musician and gets the opportunity to be the opening act at the Half Note Club. When Joe is in a life-threatening accident, his soul is separated from his body and transported to the You Seminar, a center where souls develop and gain passions before being transported to a newborn child. Joe learns that he must work with other souls in training in order to return to Earth.

Soul has already received critical acclaim, sitting at a score of 97% on Rotten Tomatoes at the time of writing.

Soul doesn’t require any extra fees to watch. The movie is included as part of a standard Disney+ subscription. Countries who don’t have access to Disney+ will have theatrical releases in January (if the coronavirus epidemic situation allows).

The movie is definitely worth a watch.
