Marvel Teams with Black Eyed Peas, Jamie Foxx & Others for AR Graphic Novel

Released by Marvel this past summer, the Black Eyed Peas’ graphic novel Masters of the Sun: Zombie Chronicles is now getting its own Augmented Reality app this Friday, which helps tell the story in an entirely new way.

The comic book tells the story of a California hip-hop crew that must fight back against an alien God who comes to Earth to continue a Black Curse that turns drug dealers and gangsters into zombies.

Using a smart device, the words, characters and images in Masters of the Sun come alive, rewarding readers with bonus story elements, 3D graphics and effects, plus exclusive original music.

The app features the voice acting from Stan Lee, Jamie Foxx, Snoop Dog, Common, Queen Latifah, Mary J. Blige, Rakim and Ice T. Original music score co-composed by will.i.am, Hans Zimmer and Keith Harris.

Set for release on both iOS and Android mobile platforms, the Masters of the Sun Augmented Reality app will retail for $1.99 and is available as of Friday, November 24. The standalone graphic novel of Masters of the Sun: Zombie Chronicles, released last summer, is currently available for purchase.
