Jamie Foxx has arrived in Dubrovnik, Croatia on Friday. Foxx is in town for the filming of Robin Hood: Origins.
Jamie Foxx will star as Little John alongside Taron Egerton as Robin Hood, Jamie Dornan as Will Scarlet, Eve Hewson as Maid Marion and Ben Mendelsohn as the Sheriff of Nottingham.
The movie will be filmed in Dubrovnik over the next 2 weeks (from Feb. 20 to Mar. 6) at various locations around the Old City, including the port, the main street Stradun and St. Dominic Street.
“This set in the old harbour of Dubrovnik will be the first scene that Robin Hood and Little John will be seen together,” said producer E. Bennett Walsh during a press conference.
Filming of the movie began in Hungary and Foxx claimed that “this is one of my most challenging roles to date.”
Robin Hood: Origins is set to released on March 23, 2018 and Dubrovnik’s mayor revealed earlier this month that the film will be the first in a trilogy.
