Jamie Foxx’s upcoming Robin Hood film will be released March 23, 2018.
According to Deadline, the new movie will have a darker tone, as it will follow the classic hero after his Crusades battles. Hood will be returning to the Sherwood Forest where he finds it is filled with corruption and evil. That’s where he forms a new band of outlaws, who take up a revolt against the corrupt English monarchy.
Otto Bathurst is directing the movie, which stars Taron Egerton as Robin Hood, alongside Jamie Foxx as Little John, Jamie Dornan as Will Scarlett and Eve Hewson as Maid Marian. Leonardo DiCaprio is listed as one of the project’s producers.
