Music executive Clarence Avant, nicknamed the “Godfather of Black Music,” was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday in Los Angeles. The ceremony was filled with a large group of friends and colleagues — from Quincy Jones and Bill Withers to Jamie Foxx — all paying tribute to a man.
