Jamie Foxx performed at the “Shining a Light: A Concert for Progress on Race in America” in LA on Wednesday night.
The concert kicks off the network’s campaign “to confront issues of race and promote unity and progress on racial equity.” The proceeds from the sold-out event will go to the Fund for Progress on Race in America through the United Way.
Jamie performed a duet with Tank and brought his 7-year-old daughter, Anelise, on stage with her friends and asked her to recite the books of the Bible. Other performers included Bruce Springsteen, Smokey Robinson, John Legend, Miguel, Pink, Jill Scott, Ed Sheeran, Sia, Pharrell Williams.
The two-hour special will air Friday (November 20) at 8pm ET/PT on A&E, History, Lifetime, H2, LMN and FYI, as well as iHeartMedia radio stations and AOL.com.
