Jamie Foxx releases his new album Hollywood: A Story of a Dozen Roses on May 18, but the 47-year-old actor and singer admits he’s still a kid at heart when it comes to his 6-year-old daughter Anelise. He reveals which Hollywood talk show host got him dancing and the last meal he attempted to prepare, when he chatted with PEOPLE this week about “one last thing” …
Last time I sang in the shower
Every day. Sometimes I’ll sing country music – I know it sounds weird. I love to sing that Miranda Lambert song [“The House That Built Me”], and the way it echoes is really dope.
Last meal I prepared
I tried very badly to make shrimp tempura. It looked like a pancake that was made with salmon. I’m no chef; I cook breakfast.
Last book I read
Actually, that was with my daughter [Anelise, 6]. It was Green Eggs and Ham. I am Sam. Sam I am. Yes, that’s a favorite of hers. I memorized it when I was a kid, when it was a cartoon, and I still know the words by heart.
Last time I was onstage
Just now. I was onstage with Steve Harvey on the Steve Harvey Show. He’s a friend from years back. It was a great interview. We danced and made up songs. It was so great to see him doing his show and to see where we’ve both come from.
