Fox has renewed game show Beat Shazam for a second season, the network announced on Wednesday.
Jamie Foxx is set to return as host and executive producer for the next season.
“Jamie is the ultimate host and entertainer. He’s a larger-than-life personality with a passion for music that’s infectious, and we can’t wait to have him return for another great round of Beat Shazam in Season 2.” said Rob Wade, President of Alternative Entertainment and Specials at Fox Broadcasting Company.
The series has averaged an audience of 4.4 million viewers across all platforms. Per Fox, the show has become the most social new series of the summer with 23 million total engagements across social channels.
Beat Shazam airs on Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
Jamie took the stage at the BET Awards last night to present the Best Male R&B And Pop Artist award to Bruno Mars and introduce a trailer for his new film, Baby Driver. Pictures from the event have been added to our gallery.
Jamie was a guest on the Aubrey Marcus podcast. In this interview, Foxx drops some knowledge about Hollywood, hilariously impersonates famous actors, explains where inspiration comes from, and gives his advice on how to stay hungry and be happy.
Jamie and the cast of Baby Driver attended the European premiere of the movie at Cineworld Leicester Square in London on Wednesday. Jamie also posed with British fashion designer Ozwald Boateng for a portrait session before the premiere.
The gallery has been updated with a bunch of photos. Enjoy!
Jamie made an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden last Thursday.
The Baby Driver star popped up in the audience at the top of the show to challenge Late Late Show host to the riff-off. Foxx and Corden then battled it out with help from a capella group The Filharmonic. However, Jamie’s co-star Ansel Elgort couldn’t just sit backstage any longer, and took to the stage with his own contribution. In the end, all three of the guys sang “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” together.
