Jamie Foxx attended the “Rolling Stone hosts Bacardi Rebels” event at Roseland Ballroom in New York City last night.

Last week Jamie Foxx stepped behind the camera in Brooklyn, New York to direct Canon’s Project Imaginat10n.  Starring Tyrin Turner, a long-time friend and star of cult classic, “Menace II Society” and Nichole Galicia, from “Django Unchained”, Jamie was a hands-on director.  He also had a few supportive visitors stop by throughout the shoot, including his mentor on the project Ron Howard, David West from the Indiana Pacers, and lots of local fans.

Every teenager is embarrassed by his/her parents. But what if your dad decided to descend upon your life in every way? Inspired by Jamie Foxx’s relationship with his 18-year-old daughter, this comedy explores the dynamic between a parent and a child and all the embarrassment that comes with it.

Foxx and Jamie King will executive produce, with scripting done by Marsh McCall and Foxx.

This will be the second recently announced TV project in development for the Django Unchained star. Foxx will also write, direct and executive produce a 5-episode horror anthology series which the Syfy channel will debut during their annual 31 Days Of Halloween programming marathon this October.

This weekend, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 director Marc Webb tweeted a brand new image of Jamie Foxx as Electro’s alter ego Maxwell Dillon, with the caption: “Day 52. My name is Max.” (Picture above).

Jamie Foxx was spotted goofing around on the New York set of film yesterday.

The first pictures of Jamie Foxx as new villain Electro in “The Amazing Spider-Man 2″ have been leaked online.

Foxx was snapped on-set in Time Square, New York, shrouded in an LED-lit black hoodie and sporting some impressively scaly electric blue skin underneath. This isn’t a complete look at the suit Foxx will be wearing, which he previously described to BlackFilm.com saying:

“It won’t be green and yellow. It will be a different color. They want something for the future. They want to have it more grounded and not as comic book-y, so it won’t be green and yellow. They want to try new things, like a liquid rubber and things like that, and there are all these bolts and stuff in my arms when they are hanging me upside down and trying to figure out what [happened]. How did he become this way?”

Foxx stars as Max Dillon, a.k.a. Electro – a bad guy who gains the ability to control electricity after being struck by lightning whilst working on a power line.

Wearing a T-shirt printed with the faces of young victims of gun violence and the slogan “KNOW JUSTICE KNOW PEACE,” Foxx made a fashion — and social — statement.

Joined by his “Django Unchained” co-star Kerry Washington, Foxx explained to Pre-Show hosts Josh Horowitz and Karlie Kloss that he wanted to pay homage to Trayvon Martin and the grade-school students at the center of the December 2012 Newtown, Connecticut, shootings. Using the hashtag #JustABlip on his Twitter account, Foxx said he was trying to keep pressing issues at the forefront but without hitting anyone over the head with the message.

“Just a little blip just to keep our minds — not political or anything like that — just think about the children. My daughter’s here, 19 years old, so just protecting our kids that’s all,” Foxx said.

This isn’t the first time the Best Male Performance nominee has devoted time and helped draw attention to gun violence. In February, Foxx sang at a New York City vigil in honor of slain teen Martin, who was shot and killed a year earlier by a neighborhood watchman in Sanford, Florida.

His bold fashion choice at the Movie Awards — a remix of a similar look from last year’s BET Awards — got props almost immediately, with entertainment journalist Lola Ogunnaike tweeting, “Jamie Foxx sporting a Trayvon Martin t-shirt. Fashion activism. #MTVmovieawards.”

Farron Stark echoed the sentiment on Twitter, writing, “Jamie Foxx made a statement without saying anything- wearing a Trayvon Martin tshirt at the #mtvmovieawards.”
