Plot Summary

Quincy Watson (Jamie Foxx) is unceremoniously dumped by his fiancée, and pens a “how to” book on breaking up and becomes a best-selling author on the subject. Not wanting his male friends to suffer the same fate, he gives them advice on dumping their mates. After his cousin Evan(Morris Chestnut) reads Quincy’s book he starts to question his relationship with his girlfriend. Evan breaks up with her and has some time to think it over so he calls over his cousin and tells him to get her but he doesnt know what she looks like so he tries to get her for him but end up making a date with her. They date but some time passed by and it was a party for Quincy’s hot seller book but Evan finds out that Quincy is dating his ex girlfriend and became upset with him. He left the party and was determined to get her to talk to him. She decides to leave town and forget about him, but he follows her to the train station. As the train is speeding away he confesses his live for her and bites into his hand.

Trivia

  • During the making of this movie, Jamie Foxx had cut his hair for Ray. So in the final scene, Foxx is wearing a wig, which is why his hair looks so much longer.
