Jamie to Star in Netflix Comedy Series Inspired by Relationship With His Daughter

Jamie Foxx will star in a new Netflix sitcom, Dad Stop Embarrassing Me, which his based on his relationship with his own daughter, Corinne Foxx.

Kyla-Drew will play Foxx’s daughter. The series will also star David Alan Grier, Porscha Coleman and Jonathan Kite.

Dad Stop Embarrassing Me was casting and gearing up for production in February before the coronavirus pandemic paused most production activities.

Jamie Foxx and Bentley Kyle Evans executive produce the project, with Corinne Foxx and Alex Avant producing. All episodes for the series will be directed by Ken Whittingham (Modern Family, Black-ish, Grace & Frankie).

This is not the first time Jamie and his daughter have collaborated on a TV project. At age six, Corinne made a cameo in The Jamie Foxx Show. She also serves as the DJ on the Jamie Foxx-hosted competition series Beat Shazam.

  1. I can’t wait to see this show come to reality. I know it’s going to be filled with lots of nurturing and old school parenting. As well as laughs.

  2. Jamie has always been a amazing father, the bond between him and his girls is stronger then most, Jamie has always been a family man and a actor like no other. I love him more then words can ever express.
