Jamie Foxx‘s recent movie, Just Mercy, is now available to rent for free on all digital platforms in the US during the month of June.
Warner Bros. said it hopes the film will be an educational resource for people who want to learn more about the country’s archaic systematic racism.
“We believe in the power of story. Our film Just Mercy, based on the life work of civil rights attorney Bryan Stevenson, is one resource we can humbly offer to those who are interested in learning more about the systemic racism that plagues our society” read a statement posted by Warner Bros. on its social media channels. The announcement comes after a week of worldwide protests of George Floyd’s death.
