Jamie Foxx’s daughter Corinne named Miss Golden Globe 2016

Jamie Foxx’s daughter Corinne has been named Miss Golden Globe 2016.

It’s tradition that the Miss or Mr. Golden Globe honoree is the daughter or son of a respected name in the entertainment industry and assists during the Golden Globe Awards ceremony. The announcement was made at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s first party of the 2016 Golden Globe Awards season, held at West Hollywood’s Ysabel restaurant. Jamie Foxx was “over the moon”, celebrating the night with Corinne on his arm.

The 21-year-old Corinne is a senior at the University of Southern California and a model, who recently wrapped a Ralph Lauren campaign.

“Throughout the years I’ve grown up watching my dad establish himself as a well-respected actor. I’m honored that HFPA has given me the opportunity to now share the same stage where he’s been recognized for some of his greatest accomplishments.”

Corinne also spoke with ET about her famous father’s support, saying “he is probably more excited for this than I am. He probably has tears in his eyes – he’s kind of emotional.”

Previous honorees include Kevin Bacon’s daughter Sosie, Demi Moore and Bruce Willis’ daughter Rumer, Clint Eastwood’s daughter Francesca, Tippi Hedren’s daughter Melanie Griffin, Michael J Fox’s son Sam and Freddie Prinze’s son Freddie Prinze Jr.

The 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards will air live Jan. 10, 2016, on NBC at 8 p.m EST with host Ricky Gervais.

Congratulations, Corinne!
