Jamie Foxx will host and perform at the Grand Prix Royale in Austin, TX on Friday, October 23.
This year the Grand Prix Royale will support The Rise School of Austin, a school dedicated to the highest quality early childhood education for all children – gifted, traditional and developmentally delayed.
“The Grand Prix Royale isn’t just about a big party – it’s about finding a way to help those in need by joining forces to improve education,” said Foxx. “Trust me, I will be challenging everyone in the audience to give back to the children of Austin.”
Update: Due to inclement weather circumstances, Jamie was unable to host and perform at the event. Read Jamie’s letter below.
To the guests and organizers of the Grand Prix Royale,
Unfortunately, the severe weather and unsafe travel conditions has made it impossible for me to travel to Austin today.
I would like to thank and acknowledge all the wonderful sponsors and supporters of the Grand Prix Royale especially Can Am Spyder, Vista Equity Partners, Rise Aviation and Park Place Group for their financial support of this event and their efforts to raise money for The Rise School of Austin. The school’s mission is especially important to me and I encourage you all to support their efforts in bringing a quality education to all students in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
I was very much looking forward to hosting the event and I’m very disappointed that I won’t be able to join you. But as they say in my business, the show must go on! I wish the Grand Prix Royale the greatest success and I hope to see you all very soon.
All the best,
